While many New Jerseyans were celebrating Easter or Passover yesterday, disgraced Senator Bob Menendez was remembering a more infamous day – the 3rd Anniversary of his indictment on federal bribery charges.
Yesterday marked three years of Menendez being an ongoing source of embarrassment for New Jersey voters, who have been forced to watch as damning allegations flew against their Senator. And while Menendez’s criminal case ended in a mistrial, he still faces a Senate ethics investigation into his shameful conduct, ensuring that New Jerseyans will be constantly reminded of their Senator’s corruption all the way until the November election.
“Disgraced Senator Bob Menendez has been an embarrassment to New Jersey for too long,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “New Jersey voters want a Senator who can focus on getting results, not on his own criminal and ethical baggage, and they will finally have a chance to replace Menendez in November.”
