Today, Senate Democrats went up with $2.2 million worth of television ads to prop up their buddy Bill Nelson’s lagging campaign.
The ad laughably tries to paint the career politician as an “independent fighter” and as someone who always puts “Florida first.”
But this couldn’t be further from the truth. Since coming to Washington, Bill Nelson has taken a hard left, voting with his Democratic Party leaders 92 percent of time, and with extreme liberals Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren 86 percent of the time.
Now, as a thank you for his loyalty, Chuck Schumer’s Super PAC is coming in to help Bill Nelson.
“Bill Nelson is putting one thing first and it’s the Democratic Party, not Florida,” said NRSC Spokesperson Camille Gallo. “No matter how hard his liberal friends try, Floridians know Bill Nelson has become a loyal party line voter, not the ‘independent fighter’ he’d like them to believe.”
