National Journal is reporting that Hillary Clinton’s super PAC, Priorities USA, is making a 7-figure investment to aid Democratic Senate candidates in 7 states, including North Dakota Senator Heidi Heitkamp.
Despite Heitkamp’s best efforts to avoid talking about her longtime support of the incredibly unpopular failed Presidential candidate, who she said would “be one of the greatest presidents of the United States of America,” she just can’t escape from Hillary Clinton. Now that she’s accepting Hillary’s financial support, it will be interesting to see whether Heitkamp will welcome Clinton to North Dakota to campaign for her.
“It’s about time that Hillary Clinton rewarded Heidi Heitkamp for her unwavering support in the 2016 presidential race,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Hillary may have lost North Dakota by 36 points, but that hasn’t stopped Heitkamp from pushing the same failed liberal policies that were the bedrock of Clinton’s campaign platform.”
