Heidi Heitkamp is out with a new TV ad attempting to distance herself from her liberal voting record. In the spot, Heitkamp says, “There are too many people who only vote on one side one hundred percent of the time, and that will never be me.”
Yet, while in office, Heitkamp was a rubber stamp for the disastrous policies of Barack Obama, voting with the former president nearly 90 percent of the time and supporting his judicial nominees 97 percent of the time.
Talk about hypocritical.
“Heidi Heitkamp is the worst kind of politician, someone who says one thing and does another,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “In a state President Trump won by 36 points, Heitkamp’s loyalty to liberal Washington Democrats will be fresh on the minds of North Dakota voters when they cast their ballots this November.”
