Washington, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) posted a new billboard today in Raleigh attacking U.S. Senate candidate Erica Smith as too liberal for North Carolina. The billboard features Smith alongside socialists Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib, and is located on U.S. Highway 64 and Rolesville Road.
“For months, Erica Smith has been aligning herself with ‘The Squad’ as she touts a radical socialist agenda that includes the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and a federally-mandated minimum wage,” said NRSC spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “Voters need to know Erica Smith’s policies will cause up to 4.6 million North Carolinians to lose their private insurance and eliminate hundreds of thousands of in-state jobs. She’s just too liberal for North Carolina.”
