Senator Amy Klobuchar hypocritically voted to filibuster the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, making it clear she is more interested in petty partisan obstruction than having a qualified candidate sit on the Supreme Court.
Just a few months ago, Klobuchar said, “the constitution is clear: the Senate must consider the President’s nominee and then choose whether to vote ‘Yes’ or ‘No.’” But clearly what Klobuchar really meant was that the Senate should only vote on Supreme Court candidates nominated under a Democratic president.
“Klobuchar’s flip flop on the Supreme Court is entirely transparent and a prime example of her hypocrisy,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Klobuchar will side with the obstructionist Washington leadership of Chuck Schumer at all costs, she’s even willing to deny Minnesotans a functioning Supreme Court.”
