Claire McCaskill has some tough decisions to make this week. Her colleagues declared war on President Trump’s (not even announced yet) Supreme Court pick and that leaves her in quite the pickle.
Either Claire joins her fellow Washington liberal elites and panders to the base of her party or she announces her full support of President Trump’s pick and alienates her base. Remember, Trump won Missouri with a margin of nearly 20%.
So what will Claire do?
“Claire McCaskill needs to explain to Missouri voters if she will once again side with the Washington liberal elite and obstruct President Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “If McCaskill lacks the courage to stand up to extremists like Elizabeth Warren and Chuck Schumer, she is proving to folks in Missouri that she is unfit to represent them in the Senate.”
