But that all changed this week…

On Friday, the Wolf Administration was ordered to release the requested documents from Katie McGinty’s tenure as the Governor’s Chief of Staff.

Pennsylvania voters deserve to know what Katie McGinty was doing while in her taxpayer-funded job. From the little we already know, McGinty wasn’t shy about blurring the ethical line. As DEP Secretary McGinty used taxpayer money to prop up her personal interests, funnel money to a company that employed her husband, and secure future gigs in corporate board rooms.

In the coming days before the November 8th election voters deserve to learn if this habit of self-service before public service extended to Shady Katie’s role as Governor Wolf’s Chief of Staff.

The decision, written by Brobson, said the court relied on a three-part test to determine whether the emails are public: Did the requester specify a time frame for the emails? Was the scope of the inquiry specific enough? Were the keywords provided narrow enough to make the search doable by a government agency?

In all three questions, the answer is yes, Brobson wrote…"

"…the Governor’s Office will have to release more emails from the former Chief of Staff for Governor Wolf and current Democratic Senate Nominee within 30 days.
