Now Bayh is going Full Hillary: when asked about the details of the meetings that did, in fact, take place, Bayh claims he can’t remember the details:

“Evan Bayh, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, said he can’t remember with ‘great specificity’ the conversations he had with executives from his future employer during trips to New York City in 2010 as he prepared to leave office.

“A Bayh official has characterized the visits with Apollo Global Management executives as the senator staying at the home of lifelong friend Adam Aron, who happens to be an Apollo official. Bayh also met with the company’s chief executive, Leon Black, because he felt it was important to meet with people who would be policed by new financial regulations, said Ben Ray, a campaign spokesman.”

“When pressed for details, he said, ‘That was six years ago. It is hard for me to recall with great specificity conversations that took place more than six years ago. The most important thing is I always voted for the best interest of Hoosiers. Without exception.’” (Chelsea Schneider and Tony Cook, “Bayh Says He Can’t Remember Details Of Apollo Meetings,” Indianapolis Star, 10/14/16)

Apparently one lie isn’t enough for Evan Bayh. But when you turn your back on Hoosier families to get rich off your political career, then repeatedly claim you never left Indiana even though you can’t even remember your own address, why not keep lying?

It’s not like people are noticing.
