Washington, D.C. – The withdrawal from Afghanistan was a disaster. Not only did the Biden Administration leave hundreds of Americans behind and give terrorists a safe haven to build operations, but in their haste to evacuate suffering Afghansthey neglected proper vetting standards.

According to the Wall Street Journal“Ten evacuees who made it to the U.S. have been detained because they are national security risks, an administration official told lawmakers in the Tuesday briefing, according to a person familiar with the matter.”

Not only did President Biden make us less safe abroad, but he is also making us less safe at home.  Meanwhile, Democrat Senators like Maggie Hassan, Mark Kelly, Raphael Warnock, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Michael Bennet have remained silent.

New suburban NRSC polling shows that not only do Americans overwhelmingly blame President Biden for the botched withdrawal, but they also have little confidence that his Administration is properly screening refugees.

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “There is no clear plan for American foreign policy under Joe Biden, and it is making our nation less safe. It is baffling that no vetting plans were put in place to help Afghans in need of evacuation. It is more baffling that the President and his party felt it was ok to move forward with a hasty withdrawal without such a plan.”
