Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), or “the gold standard” as Joe Biden once called it, announced the President’s ‘Build Back Better’ agenda would add $367 billion to the federal deficit.
Even with this knowledge, Senate hopefuls Tim Ryan, Conor Lamb and Val Demings voted to approve the package.
Statement from NRSC Chairman Rick Scott: “Yesterday, the Congressional Budget Office confirmed what everyone already knew: the Democrats’ claim that their massive, multi-trillion-dollar spending spree is paid for was a complete lie. As Americans struggle with the rapidly rising cost of living caused by record inflation, Democrats just voted to double down and make things worse for families across the country. By approving a $4 trillion socialist tax-and-spend package that will add fuel to the inflation fire, Democrats are reaffirming the conclusions many Americans reached in recent elections across the country. Democrats are out of touch with the concerns of working Americans. Next year, when Americans deliver Republicans the U.S. Senate, we will stop it.”
