Washington, D.C. – Today, NRSC Chairman Rick Scott and RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel held an on-the-record-call with reporters on the afternoon of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ trip to Georgia to sell their radical federal takeover of elections. This event will not be attended by Georgia Governor (in her own mind) Stacey Abrams, a snub of Biden and Harris.

Abrams’s absence isn’t the only shocking element of today’s ill-advised executive visit.  According to reports, “voting rights activist groups” and senior Georgia Democrats think the visit is a bad idea.  One group called the trip “insufficient and unwelcome[d].” Another prominent local Democrat said, “We could have told them how Georgians would feel, if only they had asked.”

Yikes!  Oh, and less than 24 hours ago, Georgia won their first national championship in over 40 years…

Statement from NRSC Chairman Rick Scott “President Biden and Vice President Harris are traveling to Georgia today, not to celebrate the Bulldog’s win, but to tout the Democrats’ ‘big lie’ that any efforts to secure the integrity of elections is voter suppression and racism. Georgians know that while Republicans want maximum voter participation and zero fraud, Democrats want to federalize our elections and give control to Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, while banning popular Voter ID laws. The failed Biden/Harris agenda is a joke and even Georgia Democrats like radical Stacey Abrams are running away. Thankfully for the NRSC, Senator Warnock is all in for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s failed agenda. I am proud to stand with Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel in our fight for election security and integrity and thank the President and Vice President for helping us remind Georgians why we need to beat Raphael Warnock and the Democrats in 2022.”
