The NRSC announced today the launch of RealMurphyResume.com, a website highlighting the long list of lies and exaggerations that Patrick Murphy has told about his education and professional experience.
Murphy has been under scrutiny for months after being exposed in a series of news stories, culminating in a nuclear investigative piece by Jim DeFede of CBS Miami. DeFede’s investigation found that Murphy ‘never worked a day in his life as a Certified Public Accountant’ and never owned a small business, thereby proving that Murphy had lied about the entirety of his professional experience before entering politics.
In order to avoid further embarrassment, Murphy spent the summer hiding from voters and even backed out of his one scheduled debate with primary opponent Alan Grayson. For his lies, exaggerations, and hapless explanations, Murphy had the distinct dishonor of being awarded ‘loser of the week’ four times by the Tampa Bay Times.
