Harry Reid’s sit-down with the Reno Gazette-Journal editorial board was an exercise in revisionist history as the minority leader actually claimed that he was not responsible for partisanship in Washington. That statement alone should get a hearty laugh from anyone who hears it, including Catherine Cortez Masto, Reid’s chosen successor.

But Reid went completely overboard during the interview, calling the mother of a Benghazi terror attack victim “crazy.”

Catherine Cortez Masto should have denounced Reid’s comments immediately. But what’s her response to her political mentor using the word “crazy” to describe the mother of an American hero attempting to hold Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration accountable for her son’s death?

Silence.

It’s no secret that Cortez Masto is Reid’s handpicked candidate, every bit as partisan as her political godfather. But the fact that she won’t even attempt to distance herself from Reid when he goes off the deep end proves that Cortez Masto puts politics first. Nevada families can’t afford a Senator who will carry on Reid’s partisan legacy at their expense.
