It appears Hillary Clinton’s toxic campaign has already seeped into these three Democrats’ Senate races. Following her lead, Democrats have been caught lying to voters.

Masto’s Misleading Medium Post
Turns out that Catherine Cortez Masto is the latest Democratic Senate candidate to get caught embellishing her academic background. Masto, running to replace Harry Reid, has claimed numerous times during her campaign to be the first in her family to go to college and even made it a crucial part of her campaign.
This isn’t exactly true. Her father had attended Nevada Southern University before leaving to pursue other business opportunities, which Masto failed to mention throughout her campaign. Masto is just one more Democratic candidate willing to mislead voters.
McGinty’s Lies
Katie McGinty joins a long list of Democratic candidates lying about their background to get ahead. Throughout her campaign, McGinty talked about growing up in a large family of 10 children, saying:
“As the ninth of 10 kids and the first in my family to go to college, I’ve been privileged to live the American dream.”
While this is a very sweet story, there’s one major problem. This is false. With some simple digging, Buzzfeed reported on the truth behind this claim: her older brother had attended college years before her and had graduated in 1973.
McGinty has been claiming this falsity in speeches, on Twitter, and even in campaign emails signed by V.P. Joe Biden.

So why is McGinty denying her own brother’s academic achievements? McGinty points out she is the first in her family to attend a four-year university program, ignoring her brother’s achievement.
McGinty tried to cover up her serial lying by clarifying she was the first to “graduate from a four-year college. Her brother completed a two-year program then applied the credits to receive his bachelors,” completely undercutting community colleges and hard working community college graduates.
In addition to ignoring her brother’s bachelor degree, McGinty also conveniently ignored her brother’s master’s degree from Temple University, which he had earned before McGinty had even started at her 4-year university.
This lie earned a "Pants on Fire" rating from PolitiFact, completely destroying her attempts to create an everyday blue-collar narrative. The Philadelphia Inquirer explained just how damaging this can be for her campaign, reporting she’s created a pattern of dishonesty:
This is at least the third time she has been forced to clean up after statements opened the door to attacks on her honesty.
The Inquirer explained this record of constantly misleading voters should "worry" Democrats on June 2nd. Then by June 15, Katie McGinty had already been caught in yet another lie.
Politifact gave McGinty’s latest lies a "Mostly False" for her shameful attacks on Pat Toomey’s record following the tragedies in Orlando.
McGinty tried to re-write the past and erase Toomey’s work across the aisle on gun issues. While McGinty has done her fair share of lying on the campaign trail, her allies should also be recognized for their complete disregard for the truth.
In April immediately after the Pennsylvania primary, Washington Post ruled an Emily’s List ad supporting Katie McGinty “sleazy” for just how misleading it was. This pattern of lying only begs the question, what else are McGinty and her allies lying about?
Murphy’s Embellishment
Patrick Murphy has had a rough couple weeks. The Miami Herald discovered that Murphy’s campaign website claims he earned two degrees from the University of Miami in both accounting and finance.
Just like McGinty’s case, this is false. Murphy actually earned a B.S. in business administration with concentrations in accounting and finance – only one degree. Just like McGinty, Murphy is lying to embellish his own background to cover up his real record.

Apparently after that week, Patrick Murphy still had not learned that honesty is the best policy. Both Politico and the Tampa Bay Times reported Patrick Murphy had misrepresented his time as a CPA. He had said he had been a CPA for "several years," but CPA licensure records show he had been a CPA for "less than a year." When Miami Herald called him out for it, he decided to – yet again – lie. The Herald went on to report "a pattern has developed" for Privileged Patrick Murphy. His insistence to lie knows no bounds.
Update
Patrick Murphy’s lies continue to surface so fast that it’s difficult to keep up. CBS Miami has published an eye-opening report exposing Murphy’s lies. Murphy has been boasting for years on his background as a CPA in Florida but it turns out he was only certified in Colorado. CBS Miami found he took the exam in Colorado nine times until finally passing. Murphy also believes Florida should elect him due to his time as a small business owner. Turns out that, too was a lie.
Part 2 of the story revealed Patrick Murphy had been lying about his company and its capabilites. He even went so far as to lie about his company’s boats’ test results, which could not be found where he said they were being held.
Pattern of Lying
So why do Democrats keep lying? Looks like Democrats have loose standards when it comes to running an ethical campaign, and it’s unsurprising when you look at their probable presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton. Clinton built a career on lies and scandal.
