And now Gov. Hassan wants to create an unelected chief operating officer to operate the state while she does what, exactly?
The idea is ridiculous. Hassan got a second two-year term largely because she didn’t make any waves in her first term and was up against a little-known opponent.
She will not be allowed that luxury again.
Whether she runs again or seeks another office, this COO business should haunt her as Maggie’s Folly.
The New Hampshire Republican State Committee posted a fake Craigslist ad for the new COO position.
The video above makes the same point: Hassan’s COO idea shows that she’s already setting her sights on a Senate run. She should be running New Hampshire herself — not outsourcing the job.
