According to the Washington Times, Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey is holding down the fort with a strong lead over his his challenger, Joe Sestak:

Mr. Toomey leads former Democratic Rep. Joe Sestak, 48 percent to 35 percent, according to the Quinnipiac poll released Monday.

A solid plurality of voters — 49 percent to 24 percent — approve of Mr. Toomey’s job performance, while about six in 10 didn’t know enough about Mr. Sestak to form an opinion.

In North Carolina, Public Policy Polling‘s [most recent poll]((http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/richard-burr/) shows Senator Burr leading Kay Hagan or any potential Democratic challenger by double digits:

5 out of the 6 Democrats we tested against him have low name recognition- Brad Miller comes in at 32%, Dan Blue at 31%, Janet Cowell at 28%, Grier Martin at 22%, and Jeff Jackson at 19%. The one Democrat who does have strong name recognition is Kay Hagan, but there continues to be no sign of improvement in her favorbility numbers after last year’s Senate race – 37% of voters see her positively to 53% with a negative opinion.

In Arizona, Senator John McCain has hit the ground running, gearing for the race to win his sixth term in office. Brietbart reports

Facing a possible GOP primary challenge by "tea party" conservatives, McCain insists that he will be prepared for any opponent who might try to take him on. The fundraising quarter that concluded March 31 found him with $3.5 million on hand, which is "a good beginning," he said.

However, things aren’t looking so hot for Democratic Senate candidates in battleground states.

In Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Florida, Democratic party infighting has reached new heights.

In Maryland, Democratic Senator Barbara Mikulski’s retirement has opened the floodgates for a massive Democratic primary battle.

Maryland Democrats have about 12 months to accomplish something they put off for nearly 30 years: finding a logical successor to Barbara Mikulski.

The longtime senator’s sudden and unexpected announcement Monday that she would retire has the party bracing for a chaotic primary to replace her, with up to a dozen candidates seriously considering a bid and no obvious front-runner to anoint.

In Florida, is liberals versus progressives as both wings of the Democratic Party of Florida struggle to agree upon a U.S. Senate nominee.

“Wall Street Democrats may have settled on Patrick Murphy, but progressive Democrats certainly have not,” said Democratic Progressive Caucus of Florida President Susan Smith in a conference call organized by the group Monday. Members of the group said liberal firebrand Grayson, who has said he’s considering the race, would do a better job of inspiring the Democratic base.

And in Pennsylvania, Democrats are desperate to find an alternative to Joe Sestak and his embarrassing candidacy.

The Washington Post reports:

Top Democrats are pressuring Josh Shapiro, a former state lawmaker who heads Pennsylvania’s third most populous county, to run for the U.S. Senate, a reflection of the party’s unease with second-time candidate Joe Sestak.

Two people familiar with the discussions told The Associated Press this week that Democratic Senate leaders, including New York’s Chuck Schumer and the head of the Senate Democrats’ campaign arm, Montana’s Jon Tester, have spoken with [Josh] Shapiro.

From state to state, across the country, it’s clear that Democrats are in complete disarray, lacking the organization and discipline it takes to win.
