New Jersey has officially become a four alarm fire for national Democrats, and they are racing in to save disgraced Senator Bob Menendez.
The Huffington Post reports that Chuck Schumer’s super PAC, Senate Majority PAC is dumping $3 million into the Garden State in the final weeks of the campaign to prop up Menendez’s failing campaign. This latest news comes on the heels of the DSCC, Senate Dems’ campaign arm, spending nearly $1 million of their own to support him and Hillary Clinton visiting Jersey City to raise funds for the embattled Senator. But it’s too little too late for Menendez, whose favorability numbers remain hopelessly underwater after his bribery trial.
So, who is going to ask national Dems just how bad Menendez’s polling numbers are in a blue state like NJ?
