The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is delivering more good news for Tennesseans. After FedEx announced $200 million in increased compensation and $1.5 billion in additional pension contributions due to the GOP tax cuts, the Memphis-based company unveiled a $1 billion upgrade of their world hub in Memphis.

But the bigger paychecks, increased wages, and new job opportunities brought about by Republican tax reform haven’t stopped Democrat Senate candidate Phil Bredesen from joining Chuck Schumer to oppose the tax cuts. If he’s sent to D.C., you can be sure Bredesen will join Senate Democrats’ efforts to repeal the wildly successful tax plan.

“Tennesseans are quickly realizing that despite his moderate rhetoric, Phil Bredesen is a typical Washington Democrat who’s more comfortable following Chuck Schumer than doing what’s best for middle-class families,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Voters are going to be reminded that just like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, Phil Bredesen would rather saddle folks with higher taxes than support the policies putting more money in their bank accounts.”
