Sherrod Brown took to the floor with fellow Senate Democrats Bob Casey, Debbie Stabenow and Ron Wyden to demand an extension of CHIP…which all four voted against 15 hours ago.

Brown, Casey and Stabenow are clearly feeling the heat after new ads from the NRSC called them out for voting against health insurance for children and funding for our troops and senior citizens. In their rush to hop on board the Schumer Shutdown, Brown, Casey, Stabenow and their fellow red state Democrats shot themselves in the foot by voting against a popular program that they pretended to care about.

The question for Brown, Casey and Stabenow now is why they suddenly care enough about CHIP to grandstand about it on the Senate floor when just 15 hours ago, they voted to kick the 8.9 million children covered by the program to the curb.
