The Senate GOP’s tax plan is expected to create 27,672 new jobs in Michigan and put $2,512 in the pockets of middle income families according to the nonpartisan Tax Foundation. Yet, Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow has refused to support the job-creating tax relief plan.
Stabenow’s refusal to support Republican efforts to create jobs, provide tax relief and grow the economy is leaving Michiganders worse off. Is Stabenow willing to let her partisan loyalty get in the way of doing what’s best for her constituents?
“Michiganders deserve to know why Debbie Stabenow is refusing to let them access thousands of new job opportunities and keep more of their hard-earned money,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Instead of following Chuck Schumer’s obstructionist tactics, Stabenow needs to fight for the thousands of Michiganders who would benefit from this plan.”
