The Senate GOP’s tax plan is expected to create 2,782 new jobs in North Dakota and put $2,648 in the pockets of middle income families according to the nonpartisan Tax Foundation. Yet, Democratic Senator Heidi Heitkamp has refused to support the job-creating tax relief plan.
Heitkamp’s refusal to support Republican efforts to create jobs, provide tax relief and grow the economy is leaving North Dakotans worse off. Is Heitkamp willing to let her partisan loyalty get in the way of doing what’s best for her constituents?
“North Dakotans deserve to know why Heidi Heitkamp is refusing to let them access thousands of new job opportunities and keep more of their hard-earned money,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Instead of following Chuck Schumer’s obstructionist tactics, Heitkamp needs to fight for the thousands of North Dakotans who would benefit from this plan.”
