The Senate GOP’s tax plan is expected to create 4,784 new jobs in West Virginia and put $1,952 in the pockets of middle income families according to the nonpartisan Tax Foundation. Yet, Democratic Senator Joe Manchin has refused to support the job-creating tax relief plan.
Manchin’s refusal to support Republican efforts to create jobs, provide tax relief and grow the economy is leaving West Virginians worse off. Is Manchin willing to let his partisan loyalty get in the way of doing what’s best for his constituents?
“West Virginians deserve to know why Joe Manchin is refusing to let them access thousands of new job opportunities and keep more of their hard-earned money,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Instead of following Chuck Schumer’s obstructionist tactics, Manchin needs to fight for the thousands of West Virginians who would benefit from this plan.”
