Washington, D.C. – The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) today launched a five-figure digital buy to remind Maine voters that Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Sara Gideon broke the law. The Guilty Gideon ad campaign follows news that Gideon was found to have broken the law by the state ethics commission and was forced to pay a fine.
Voters will be directed to GuiltyGideon.com to learn more about Gideon’s shady and unethical behavior.

“Guilty Gideon has ignored the law to advance her political career and help her extreme partisan, special interest, allies,” said NRSC spokesperson Nathan Brand. “As Maine voters learn more about Gideon’s reliance on questionable donors, illegal contributions, and support from dark money special interest groups, it will be clear she is willing to sell Maine’s voice away to the highest out of state bidder.”
In October, the NRSC launched GuiltyGideon.com and rolled a mobile billboard around Augusta highlighting her illegal activity.
