Earlier this year, Heidi Heitkamp got all high and mighty saying that “billionaires outside North Dakota who don’t know anything about our state shouldn’t be able to impact North Dakotans’ opinions or how they vote.”
And yet, Heitkamp’s Q2 fundraising report shows just 5.49% of her donations came from North Dakotans. That’s right, Heitkamp raised 94.51% of her donations from liberal havens like San Francisco, New York City, and Washington D.C. The bar was set pretty low after Hypocrite Heitkamp only raised 6.8% of her money from North Dakotans in Q1, but somehow, she managed to do worse this time around.
“It’s clear that when it comes to her campaign cash, Hypocrite Heitkamp is more than happy to say one thing and do another,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “North Dakotans deserve politicians who mean what they say, and this is the latest example of Heidi Heitkamp failing to keep her word.”
