Washington, D.C. – Following Democrats’ shellacking in Virginia earlier this week, Abby Finkenauer sat down with Iowa Democrats in an attempt to convince folks she stands a chance against Chuck Grassley in 2022 – even though she is already down 18 points statewide.

During the session, one Iowan rightly questioned, “What issues or positions do you hold that make you appeal to the independents and moderates? How comfortable are you pushing back against the progressive left, or do you think a winning strategy in Iowa is the turnout among Democrats?”

Abby’s answer?

“When it comes to independents and folks that don’t associate it is partly – and in a big part – about our values and who we are.”

Having already voted her out of office once, it is clear Iowans do not share Abby Finkenauer’s values, and Finkenauer is not doing anything to show that she’s moved on from being Nancy Pelosi’s puppet. Abby Finkenauer’s values do not match the values of hardworking Iowans:

  • Finkenauer voted with Nancy Pelosi 93% of the time on policies that would hurt Iowans.
  • Finkenauer voted to fund Sanctuary Cities, allow illegal immigrants to vote, and opposed efforts to secure the border.
  • Finkenauer opposes Iowa’s Right to Work laws and would require every Iowa worker to join unions against their will.
  • Finkenauer supports Medicare for All, which would bankrupt our country and destroy the Medicare system Iowa seniors depend on.
  • Finkenauer is bought and paid for by D.C.’s abortion lobby. She supports forcing taxpayers to fund abortions, even overseas, and voted against providing medical care to babies born-alive after a failed abortion attempt.
  • Finkenauer voted to hand D.C. the reins of Iowa’s elections and to use Iowans’ hard-earned tax dollars to fund her political campaign.

With values like these, Abby Finkenauer has a long struggle ahead.
