Adam Hamilton’s fellow Democrats just opposed Republican-led legislation to protect Kansans from higher energy costs due to data centers. This is the second time Senate Democrats have blocked the Ratepayer Protection Act, which Roger Marshall voted to pass.

Turns out Hamilton’s claim that Democrats want “data centers to pay their fair share of electricity costs,” is just another lie.

“While Roger Marshall is fighting for lower costs, the Democrats supporting Adam Hamilton are more interested in obstruction. Hamilton will be another vote for Chuck Schumer’s agenda to never give President Trump a win, even if it’s what’s best for Kansas,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.

Senate Republicans and Roger Marshall’s Ratepayer Protection Act ensures that:

  • Kansas families are protected from higher utility bills.
  • Companies pay their own way while building the AI infrastructure America needs.
  • Companies provide the power they consume and safeguard local water and natural resources.
  • America has the superiority we need to compete with China without passing the costs onto families.
