Lynne Hoxie of Lower Saucon Township wrote a compelling letter to the editor in The Allentown Morning Call. In it, she communicates her frustration with Washington Democrats acting as if they know what’s better for Pennsylvania than the state’s residents. She also calls Katie McGinty out for being the weak candidate that she is:
I am baffled and annoyed that the Democratic Party, my party, is wasting money to support a weak primary candidate in Pennsylvania, Katie McGinty. Why not let the voters of Pennsylvania decide who the Democratic candidate should be, without monetary interference in support of a candidate who is weak as evidenced by the fact that she is running out of money?…
In addition, John Fetterman, Katie McGinty’s primary opponent, told Politico the following:
“All she has going for is establishment momentum,” the tattooed mayor said over the phone as he traveled to Philly. “I see a real arrogance … she’s basically an appendage of the DSCC and they keep hanging endorsements off her like ornaments … it’s not in the best interest of the party.”
