The Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee will meet today for General John Kelly’s cabinet confirmation hearing and all eyes are on Jon Tester. This hearing will put Tester in quite the bind because his liberal Democrat colleagues have made it clear that they want chaos and that means Jon has a decision to make.
Will Tester let down Montana, which President-elect Trump won by 20 points, to appease his liberal friends in Washington? With Democratic ranks at an all-time low in Washington, his liberal colleagues will be counting on Tester to join the fight.
“Jon Tester went to Washington and joined ranks with the extremely liberal Democrat party which is out-of-touch with Montanans,” said NRSC Spokeswoman Katie Martin. “Today’s confirmation hearing is Jon’s first test – will he side with Montana or Washington’s liberal elite.”
