It hasn’t taken long for Bill Nelson to start caving to Democratic Party leaders.
Today the Tampa Bay Times reported that Nelson already expects to oppose President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, even before anyone has been named.
Bill Nelson’s fragile backbone should come as no surprise. The career politician never voted against any of Obama’s judicial nominees but stood with Chuck Schumer in voting against Justice Neil Gorsuch.
On top of that, Nelson bowed to Chuck Schumer again and voted against the confirmation of Florida Judge Allen Winsor, who he personally recommended.
“A Supreme Court nominee hasn’t even been named yet and Bill Nelson is already planning on doubling down on his obstruction to please Washington liberals,” said NRSC Spokesperson Camille Gallo. “It’s becoming all too clear to Floridians that when push comes to shove, Bill Nelson will side with the Democratic Party instead of them.”
