Claire McCaskill’s political pandering was on full display during an interview today with the New York Times.
In the interview, McCaskill self-righteously proclaims, “I am a moderate from a state Trump won.”
Come on, does Claire really think she’s going to be able to run away from her radical record? Let’s take a quick look at the facts.
- Despite saying that blocking Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee could have “dire consequences,” she sided with national Democrats and opposed Justice Neil Gorsuch.
- She’s voted with leader of the resistance, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, 86% of the time.
- After claiming she wasn’t concerned about being labeled an obstructionist for opposing Trump’s nominees, Claire proceeded to oppose seven of Trump’s cabinet nominees.
- McCaskill was one of Hillary Clinton’s earliest Presidential endorsers and a top Clinton surrogate.
- She was called Barack Obama’s ‘Most Reliable Surrogate’ and voted with Obama 93% of the time.
- McCaskill has contributed over $1 million to state and federal Democratic candidates and political organizations.
“Claire McCaskill’s record makes it clear she is nothing more than a rubber stamp for liberal donors and Washington Democrats,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Claire’s living in an alternate reality if she thinks she can hide her radical stances from Missouri voters.”
