Annie Andrews claimed her PAC was created to help kids, but in reality, her PAC spent most of its money on consultants that then went to work for her Senate campaign, according to a new report from the Post and Courier.
Andrews’ close friend got in on the action too, and admitted the PAC was a “failed experiment.” It certainly was for South Carolina’s kids, but it was a cash-cow for Andrews’ consultant friends.
After her unsuccessful run for Congress against Mace in 2022, she formed a now-defunct political action committee called Their Future, which despite pledges to support “pro-child” candidates focused on issues like gun control and climate change, spent most of its money on South Carolina-based political consultants that went on to work for Andrews’ Senate bid, campaign finance records show.
The mailing lists the PAC developed were later used to help Andrews launch her Senate campaign, former campaign adviser Renee Harvey — who recruited Andrews to run for Senate — told The Post and Courier, chalking the previous group up as a “failed experiment.”
“Annie Andrews used children for political gain to enrich her consultant friends. Andrews is a crook and a fraud who cannot be trusted in the U.S. Senate to put South Carolinians first,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
