Annie Andrews’ fellow Democrats just opposed Republican-led legislation supported by Darline Graham to protect South Carolinians from higher energy costs. This is the second time Senate Democrats blocked the bipartisan legislation.
Andrews is a hypocrite who says she wants to bring costs down, but would vote with her party to block legislation to protect South Carolinians from higher costs due to data centers.
“Annie Andrews is the definition of an extreme, left-wing socialist, and in the Senate, she’d vote with fellow Democrats against protecting South Carolinians from higher energy costs,” said NRSC Regional Secretary Nick Puglia.
Darline Graham is fighting to lower costs for South Carolinians. The bipartisan legislation ensures that:
- South Carolinians are protected from higher utility bills.
- Companies pay their own way while building the AI infrastructure America needs.
- Companies provide the power they consume and safeguard local water and natural resources.
- America has the superiority we need to compete with China without passing the costs onto families.
