Fox News: Dem Rep. Axne falsely claims GOP has ‘way more dark money’ than Democrats

Earlier this year, she supported Nancy Pelosi’s failed attempt to overturn the results of a certified Iowa House election. Then, Axne bizarrely invoked the Civil War to explain why she supports the Democrats’ Corrupt Politicians Act.
Last weekend, Cindy Axne’s blooper reel got a little bit longer as she wrongly claimed that Republicans have “way more dark money” than Democrats. The problem with Axne’s statement? Democrat campaigns were the major benefactors of dark money donations in 2020.
As Cindy Axne considers launching a Senate campaign, she should find a campaign strategy that does not involve lying to Iowans.
