Deborah Ross has picked up another far-left endorsement, this time from Howard Dean’s progressive group Democracy for America (DFA). DFA supports Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton and advocates for single-payer health care.
With Ross already being lauded as “the most liberal NC Democratic nominee in history,” this new endorsement doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. Ross is far outside the mainstream, making her a liability for North Carolina democrats as a whole.
As a registered lobbyist for ACLU for nearly ten years, Deborah Ross fought for countless radical policies that would make a progressive group like DFA proud, including when she sided with sex offenders to oppose an online registry claiming that it wouldn’t protect children.
Furthering her progressive left-wing credentials, earlier this week a Democratic Pollster said that Ross has “Elizabeth Warren qualities.”
DFA joins a growing list of liberal special interest groups lining up behind Ross including EMILY’s List and Planned Parenthood.
