Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton chimed in yesterday from yet another vacation (this time in Europe) to pathetically claim that holding the Democrat State Representatives fleeing Texas accountable will be a “challenge.”
Real Texans don’t back down from a challenge. So while Paxton and whoever he is with gallivant through Europe, Senator John Cornyn is taking action to hold fleeing Texas Democrats accountable.
Today, Cornyn called on the FBI to assist Texas law enforcement in capturing or arresting these runaway lawmakers.
“Ken Paxton is once again putting his personal interests before his responsibilities to the people of Texas – but this time, the price of his incompetence is threatening President Trump’s Senate and House majorities,” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez. “John Cornyn is using every tool at his disposal to protect President Trump’s agenda and hold these Democrats accountable for skipping out on their obligation to Texas voters.”
