Washington, D.C. – Barnes’ stance on abortion it too radical for the Badger State, but he is refocusing his campaign around it (the sixth most important issue to Wisconsinites).  His stance? He is in favor of abortion up until the moment of birth.

According to the Eau Claire Leader Telegram, “in questions with the media after the session, Barnes rejected the idea of a timeframe cap where abortion would be banned, whether it is 16 weeks, 20 weeks, or later into a pregnancy.”

That is as extreme a position as you can take – out of line with what Wisconsinites believe – and there’s no walking that one back.

Statement from NRSC Chairman Rick Scott: “Mandela Barnes is as liberal as they come. He can try to walk back all his extreme stances, but Wisconsinites know the truth. He is too far Left for the Badger State.”
