Washington, D.C. – Cheri Beasley loves saying that she doesn’t accept corporate PAC money. The problem is, that isn’t true… at all.
Last week, at a campaign stop in Murphy, NC, Beasley repeated the lie saying, “I don’t accept corporate PAC donations.”
But she has taken corporate PAC money, and money from corporate executives and lobbyists to the tune of $435,782:
- In 2021 and 2022, Beasley accepted a total of $133,000 from numerous leadership and association PACs that are funded by corporate PAC contributions.
- In 2021 and 2022, Beasley accepted a total of $284,663 from corporate executives.
- In 2021 and 2022, Beasley accepted a total of $18,119 from corporate lobbyists.
Will she ever answer for this easily disprovable claim?
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Repeating a falsehood will never make it more accurate. Cheri Beasley has accepted plenty of money from corporate PACs and a simple search of her campaign contributions proves it. Much like her judicial record, Beasley is doing all she can to cover up the truth. We will continue to make sure the truth is well known.”
