The deadline to file an appeal against a radical federal district judge’s decision against Colorado’s Colowyo Mine ended at midnight last night with no appeal.

That means 220 Coloradans stand to lose their jobs, costing the state more than $220 million in economic activity – and whom do Coloradans have to thank for helping to create this whole debacle?

Senator Michael Bennet.

That’s right, the radical liberal judge who presided over the case, Judge R. Brooke Jackson, was recommended for the federal bench by none other than failed Senator Michael Bennet and his pal, the recently defeated radical environmentalist Mark Udall.

In 2010, Senator Bennet even praised Jackson by saying, “Jackson has shown to be a thoughtful jurist, one that I believe will serve Colorado and the country well on the federal bench.”

Thanks for nothing, Senator Bennet…

In 2010, Bennet Praised Jackson’s Nomination To The Court, Saying “Jackson Has Shown To Be A Thoughtful Jurist, One That I Believe Will Serve Colorado And The Country Well On The Federal Bench.” “Mark Udall and Michael Bennet, U.S. Senators for Colorado, today applauded the nomination of Judge R. Brooke Jackson for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Udall and Bennet recommended Jackson for the position after a lengthy and detailed selection process. His nomination now goes before the Senate Judiciary Committee… ‘In his time as Chief Judge of the First Judicial District of Colorado, Judge Jackson has shown to be a thoughtful jurist, one that I believe will serve Colorado and the country well on the federal bench,’ Bennet said. ‘Brooke’s record and qualifications meet the standard on which nominees should be judged, and he should be confirmed, quickly and without delay.’” (Sen. 220 Colorado Jobs Are At Risk Due To Action From Radical Environmentalists. “Colowyo employs 220 people and contributes more than $200 million to the regional economy, including an estimated $12 million in local, state and federal taxes, according to Tri-State. In Colorado, coal miners’ wages and benefits average $123,000 annually, according to The Colorado Mining Association.” (Elizabeth Shogren, “Courts Force Feds To Consider Climate Impacts Of Mining Coal,” High Country News, 5/14/15)
