Sanders’ call to let the next president nominate a new Supreme Court Justice comes as Democrats are running out of steam in their efforts to force Obama’s liberal nominee through the confirmation process.
While Republicans have stood strong on behalf of the American people to ensure voters can have a say in the process, Democrats have used every stunt they can conjure up to reshape the court in the closing days of Obama’s lame duck presidency. As Politico reports today, their bag of tricks is just about empty:

Message for the White House: when you lose a liberal standard bearer like Bernie Sanders, you’ve lost the fight.
