Washington, D.C. – Democrat hopes of recapturing North Carolina are looking bleaker than ever as new polling shows President Joe Biden’s approval rating in freefall.
According to the survey of likely voters, only 38% say they approve of the job he is doing while 56% say they do not. These numbers bleed into the entire party. In fact, that same poll showed Republicans beating Democrats in a generic matchup, 50% to 43%.
“I don’t recall seeing Republicans with this type of generic lead…” said the poll’s sponsor.
Meanwhile, Democrats vying for the Senate nomination – Jeff Jackson, Cheri Beasley, and Erica Smith – are focused on their race to see who can be the most liberal, the most quickly.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “North Carolina voters greatly disapprove of Joe Biden’s job performance because they feel the negative impacts of his agenda; an agenda that was crafted by far-Left liberals in Congress. Their gas and grocery bills are higher, their TV screens are filled with chaos at the border and in Afghanistan, and they hear Congress is debating trillions in new spending and taxes cooked up by Bernie Sanders. It’s madness. Unfortunately, the Senate Democrat primary candidates appear clueless to this disapproval and continue to jockey for the title of ‘most liberal.’ That may raise some money online, but it won’t win an election in North Carolina.”
