Joe Biden is out this morning with new comments on how he plans to “reform the court system.” When asked about court packing, he told 60 Minutes “there’s a number of alternatives that go well beyond packing.”
This dangerous rhetoric comes at a time when Senate Democrat candidates either support or refuse to weigh in on Chuck Schumer’s threats to eliminate the filibuster, make D.C. and Puerto Rico states, and expand the Supreme Court with liberal justices.
These candidates’ mere presence in the Senate will allow Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer to fundamentally change American democracy.
“Voters should be incredibly concerned Democrats are considering any reforms to the Supreme Court, much less reforms that go further than court packing,” said NRSC Communications Director Jesse Hunt. “Biden’s answer on this issue shows just how far to the left he’s being pushed by the most liberal members of his party, and Senate Democrats are riding shotgun on this radical takeover attempt.”
