Fresh off bragging about his “bipartisan” credentials, Democrat Senator Joe Donnelly is once again joining Washington liberals in their obstruction of President Trump’s agenda.
Donnelly announced today that he will vote against Labor Secretary nominee Alexander Acosta, a consensus nominee who has received endorsements from both labor unions and business groups, and who has been described as a moderate. Acosta will be the 8th Trump nominee Donnelly has voted against (9th if you include EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, who Donnelly announced opposition to before missing that vote).
“Joe Donnelly likes to pose as a moderate when he’s talking to folks in Indiana, but when in Washington, he’s just another reliable Democrat vote for obstruction,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Hoosiers are watching, and if Joe Donnelly continues to join with his fellow Democrats to obstruct President Trump’s job creation agenda, they will remember in 2018.”
