Private school kid Bob Casey is getting ready to join with the extreme, Elizabeth Warren wing of his party to attack President-elect Trump’s pick for Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, at this evening’s confirmation hearing. Casey was an early critic of DeVos, attacking her as far back as December.

As a member of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, Bob Casey will get his chance to join his fellow extreme liberals in attempting to cause chaos for President-elect Trump’s cabinet nominees today. Pennsylvanians should watch Casey’s actions closely. Will he stand with Pennsylvania voters, who made clear in November that they wanted change in Washington? Or will he stand with extremists in his party who have vowed to obstruct President-elect Trump and his agenda?

“Bob Casey has already signaled his intent to join with the Elizabeth Warren wing of his party and smear Betsy DeVos at tonight’s confirmation hearing,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Bob Casey must choose whether he stands with Pennsylvanians, who want a new direction in Washington, or with the extreme D.C. liberals, who want only to obstruct and delay.”
