Just two days after the anniversary of his federal bribery indictment, disgraced Senator Bob Menendez is attempting a radical makeover of his image in his first campaign ad.
Menendez, who the Obama Justice Department charged with felony counts of bribery, conspiracy and fraud among other various crimes, is attempting to portray himself as a man of the people. But his record of accepting lavish bribes from a Florida doctor convicted of defrauding Medicare tells a different story. New Jersey voters won’t be fooled.
“New Jersey voters are too smart to fall for disgraced Senator Bob Menendez’s phony ‘man of the people’ act,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Menendez is a crook, and an embarrassment to New Jersey and the U.S. Senate, and no amount of slick campaign videos will hide that fact.”
