Despite announcing his campaign for U.S. Senate just a few days ago, Phil Bredesen is already promising to fall in line with Washington Democrats and their futile quest to block President Trump’s agenda at every turn.
In a recent interview, Bredesen admitted his plans to reject President Trump’s agenda saying, “I do not think Senators or Members of Congress ought to be foot soldiers for the President.” After electing President Trump by an overwhelming 26 points, it’s safe to say the last thing Tennesseans want is Democrat politicians blocking the policies the President is fighting to implement.
“If Phil Bredesen thinks Tennesseans want him opposing President Trump and his agenda, he really doesn’t have a clue,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Tennesseans made their voices heard loud and clear last election, and they’re not about to let a 74-year-old politician block the change they voted for.”
