Following Tennessee’s second and final Senate debate, Volunteer State voters have a clear understanding of the stark differences between Marsha Blackburn and Phil Bredesen.

Congressman Blackburn hammered Bredesen over his ties to gun control activist Michael Bloomberg, his support for Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton and his repeated lies about efforts to cover up sexual harassment during his time as governor. Phil Bredesen likes to tout his moderate credentials but when it comes to supporting President Trump and conservative policies, Bredesen has illustrated he has no interest in backing the GOP tax cuts, supporting the wall or getting tough on illegal immigration.

“Marsha Blackburn wiped the floor with Phil Bredesen tonight,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “From his support for national Democrats like Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer and Michael Bloomberg to his opposition to key pieces of President Trump’s agenda, Phil Bredesen showed he is out of touch with Tennessee voters and on his way to defeat this November.”
