Sleepin’ Joe Donnelly followed through on his career-ending decision to oppose Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, joining Senate Democrats to oppose even allowing a vote on his confirmation.
Sleepin’ Joe at first told Hoosiers his opposition was based on the lack of an FBI report. But after the exact investigation he called for was requested, Sleepin’ Joe admitted that it would not change his mind, because he was planning on voting no all along. Sleepin’ Joe’s decision to abandon Hoosiers just a month before they head to the polls will spell the end of his unimpressive career in Congress.
“Joe Donnelly planned from the get-go to sell out Hoosiers by opposing Judge Brett Kavanaugh, and today he did just that,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Hoosiers won’t stand for Donnelly’s final betrayal, and will vote to send him to an early retirement next month.”
