Bob Casey is once again being called out by fact checkers for lying to Pennsylvanians, this time on the Republican tax cut plan.

Since November’s election, Casey has taken on a new role as an outspoken progressive. And since, in person, Casey is about as exciting as a slice of dry toast, he has frequently expressed his newfound aggressiveness in the form of “tweetstorms.” Casey has run into problems with this method of ranting, given his penchant for making stuff up. This summer, Politifact rated one of his claims about heath care “False.” And now, The Washington Post has given Casey four Pinocchios for an absurd lie about the Republican tax reform plan. Maybe instead of tweeting, Bob Casey should do his job and actually legislate.

“Instead of repeatedly lying to his constituents, Bob Casey should be working to provide a much-needed tax cut to Pennsylvania families,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Casey’s outspoken Twitter persona may earn him some new followers on the left, but Pennsylvanians want a Senator who is focused on working on their behalf.”
