Washington, D.C. – According to the latest CBS News Battleground Tracker, Adam Laxalt remains in the lead over Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, 49% – 48% among likely voters.  But that is far from the only statistic that stands out:

  • More Nevadans believe Catherine Cortez Masto’s policies have hurt Nevada rather than helped (43% – 42%).
  • 76% say that higher prices have been “difficult” or are “a hardship.”
  • 84% say that higher gas prices have had “some” or “a lot” of impact on their family.
  • The economy, inflation, crime, immigration, election issues, and gun policy are the top 6 issues to voters, in that order.
  • More Nevadans believe Laxalt’s policies would make things better for personal finances and crime.

In light of the fact that she continues to trail in the polls and is out of step with where her state is on the most pressing issues of their lives, Catherine Cortez Masto has turned to the one man who can fix it… Bernie Sanders?!

That’s right, next Friday, Bernie will be in both Las Vegas and Reno to help turnout the vote for Cortez Masto.  Of course, Bernie’s policy proposals are the exact opposite of what Nevadans are calling for, but Cortez Masto hasn’t had a knack for keeping her finger on the pulse of the people, so why start now!

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Another day, another brutal poll for Catherine Cortez Masto. Not only are Nevadans fed up with her rubber stamping of Joe Biden’s policies, but they also realize that Adam Laxalt’s policy ideas would make their lives better. Few places have been hit as hard as Nevada these last two years and they will voice their displeasure in November.”
